In the field
Manuel Serrano, producer of Picota del Jerte, tells us about a cherry native to the Jerte Valley that his family has been cultivating for generations. The only cherry with denomination of origin, a cherry small in size and big in flavor that can only be enjoyed for a little more than a month a year. It is the cherry of the summer, a healthy snack for the consumer, a product that the farmers of the region treat with great care and continue to collect by hand.
